pushstart it, it will run, otherwise you will be cleaning the sparkplugs off alot before it will start!

Check that the trailing ignition is actually sparking also. Since the leading are dry (burning off the fuel), but the trailing are wet (not burning off the fuel), it leads me to think that the trailing isnt sparking.

But, as 680 said, definatly try and un-flood it. Its not gonna hurt anything .

no .......if it didnt start you didnt pushstart it right!Rotary motors are different, here is how to do it,,,,

1 put the car in 2nd gear
1a make sure the ignition switch is on!
2 do not push the cluth in, leave it out
3 push with another car, or pull its up to you
4 do not stop pushing until the car starts!!!!

if the car is flooded bad this is what you will need to do!!
this will work!

If you still have cats and care about killing spark plugs, use Marvel Mystery Oil instead of ATF. I don't know why people always insist on ATF. It will foul the plugs much faster, and if you still have cats, it will eventually destroy them. MMO does the same exact thing, without the bad effects of ATF.

Eddie, go to Wal-Mart or Autozone. You can get a gallon of MMO for like 10 bucks. Or get the smaller size if you want. It has got to be the best stuff ever made.

i just had the same problem.my carb was flooding.sometimes it wouldn't start so i would take the plugs off and clean them.after that it would start.until one day it was hard to start after cleaning them.when it finally did it sounded like it was runing off one rotor.it was.the only way to fix that is to change your plugs.it will fix your problem.

this is good for newbies that doesnt know sometime whats wrong with their cars. the problem was the inside of the catalitic converter was melted that why is was causing that was flooding and the secondary doesnt open. what we did is that we gutted out the cat, i dont recomend this because it get louder but it fixed the problem now it start fast and run better and the secondary opens. thanks
