big problem

i was on my way to work and my ooil pressure was fin then about 60 miles later it started to slowly drop. So i pulled over and nothing looks bad and the oil is full. Then i realized the oild pressure only fluxed at certain rpms. Well i know i have a pin hole leak in the cooler. I put a air to oil cooler and mounted it in a bad place any way it leaks about a tea spoon when i park it. But non when it is running. I have left it running for hours and none leaked out but when i shut it off i get a little puddle. Thing is that the oil pressure has always ran low since i put the new motor i was told by the guy who built the motor that this was normal due to i changed to the big cooler and the hoses i had made where no restrictive like the old ones. So i run like a little over 30 pnds at 4k and 60pnds at 6k and at idle like 15-20 pnds. Listen i got almost 3k on th emotor and do not want to torch it i get off at 8pm and it will be a cooler hour and change drive home any suggestions. He told me it probally was the sensor but i don't wanna risk it i thought aboput dumping some 2 stroke down in the gas to be safe whacha think

Until you figure it out - definately run some pre-mix.
Good advice you gave yourself.

you guys don't think my pin whole leak is causeing that much of a pressure losss. I mean i thought if i was lossing that much pressure i would have oil spraying out of there at pressure. so i figured it was probally the sensor. But i will run some two stroke just to make sure.

thanks any more ideas i would aprecciate.

I remember one time i was driving down the interstate and my oil gauge dropped to 0... thought about it, and figured that if that were the case i was fuct anyways, drove home. When i got home, one of the cluters of sensors under the hood came out of its metal case, and was grounding out with the body...
