Is it possible to check or clean an electronic fuel pump by putting the IN into a jar of gasoline and the out into another jar?

It seems logically possible to me, but not sure if the low PSI would cause lifting gasoline UP a bit impossible.

edit: i only ask because my PSI used to drop down to 3-4 until I put on new fuel hose clamps, than I got a solid 7-8 PSI.

was just worried because of lack of psi or some sort, not really educated on PSI and what causes it to drop etc.

Voltage drop can contribute to low psi also
