Bees sure do love a clean FB

I was out wasing my car today, went inside for a bit, came back outside, to about 7 bees trying to get into the door cracks to get in my car! Crazyness, I drove my car away, then when I came back, like 5 of them tried it again.

Have you guys ever had this happen? Mabey its something in the car soap?

Yes its the soap (fragrant). When I was real little they stung my hand while I was washing the family car. Only time I've ever been stung too and it hurt like a real mother

Could also be the color. I've found that my yellow car, whether freshly washed or not, tends to draw all kinds of weird insects to it.

One day, walking out from work, I returned to the car to find it totally covered (about 2-3 insects per square inch) in flying red ants. I think they must have left the hive to find the closest source of food and figured my car was the brightest and biggest flower they'd ever seen.

Very strange - and bees seem to be drawn toward it as well. Never had this 'problem' when it was beige...

I've fought a battle with hornets all summer long. They try to nest in the fenders and near the headlights.. even after being dowsed in brake fluid a day before.. Its insane.

We used to use the bright yellow color for japanese beetle durvey traps along with a scent bait. green was for gypsey moth and orange for some other stupid bug. park in the shade and carry bug spray, better than brake fluid and less messy . Bob the bug man.
