It might be your redline buzzer! Does it happen when you get to a high RPM?

Could be the oscillator, a little black box up by the left head light. Unplug it, if the noise goes away it's fixed.

Yeah, Ray nailed it. Just do a search for Oscillator and you will come up with all the information concerning it. Very common issue. If you can't find what you need, just post back and someone will help you out. Welcome to the forum...

It makes a buzzing noise when the radiator fluid level drops below a certain level. It might have another function too, but all of the idiot lights still work if you unplug it. They seem to be very sensitive to moisture and corrosion, so they tend to get unplugged a lot as a simple fix.

Iirc, the ocillator powers the low coolant and low oil warning buzzers. Not something I would remove, and here's why. While most of us will say we monitor our guages frequently, we don't. If you blow a water or oil hose, the buzzer will go off almost immediately, giving you, hopefully, enough time to shut down and save the motor.

If you don't notice the light come on or the guage reading change, your engine is toast, especially on the highway.

Find the ocillator, clean up the contacts.
