Battery Hold-Down......... Pics

Hey guys!
Someone asked about Battery Hold-downs. Here is a pic of one i
bought from Autozone. It is a Lynx #06057-LBHK.
Hope it helps someone!

PS: Anyone got any recommendations for an engine cleaner spray that wont
hurt our rotaries? It's going to be that time of year to start detailing.

Corrosion prevention

.... I did not even had to cut the hold-down rods, for mine.

On another matter:

Even with the red and green post felts, corrosion did built up around the post
to the point were the battery clamp bolts rusted so bad that i can not turn them.
And the head on one of the bolts is totaly worn away by the previous owner. It
will be a PITA to remove the positive battery clamp when the time comes.

One tip on preventing corrosion build up that works good is using "Petroleum
Jelly" to coat the battery posts & Clamps.

Same one that I have! I spray the posts with WD40, often; wiping away excess.

I read on the back of the bottle that it pits aluminum, or is that castrol super clean?

I use di-electric grease instead of vaseline. It's actually meant for it
