There has to be a way to get them off, are they glued on there or are they fitted?
If anyone knows that would be great, i always seem to be coming up with some tough questions on this forum haha, sorry about that.

They will break, there are plastic tabs that are pushed into metal clips that are inserted into the holes in the body panels. Mine all broke, just cut through the plastic tabs so you don't break the emblem. I went with all new emblems but I likely could have painted and used double stick tape to hold the originals back down. A lot of newer cars just use the tape.

Matt- if you pull the fender liner (5 -10mm bolts I think -easy 5 min job), you will have direct access to the rear of the badges. 3 tabs; 79-80s held on with rust-invoking metal press-on caps, 81+ are plastic. No glue is used. I replaced mine with Savanna badges and I just clipped off the tabs and used 3M's special double-sided tape made for this. Any auto shop that sells paint/body-work supplies should have it. If you DO use the tabs again, be sure to get the 81+ replacement retainer caps for the rear, as these are plastic and will not scratch the rear of the fender and start potential rust.
