I believe I read that person's description of their car, and it's all original except for the seat covers, he had them re-done or something.... But of course, my memory being as bad as it is, I could be thinking of someone else's car.....

I used the same type spray paint that I used to paint the red interior. I used high temp red spray paint.... masked what I did not wanted painted and whala.... I did have to cover most of the interior.... the other parts I took off the car....

Hey Jose, where did you get those pedals? And what brand/type of spraypaint did you use. I was thinking of doing something similar, but didnt want it to turn out like crud.

Since thats a totally stock interior, I would have to say that it IS a sports car interior. Unless you don't think that an RX-7 is a sports car.

You gotta admit the '84-up GSL/GSL-SE interior is a bit more luxo than sports car. (Wonder what the L stands for - it ain't leather 'cos my '85 has cloth seats )

The pedals you can get on any aftermarket sports car accessory store on the internet. The paint I use is Dupli-Color gray engine primer DE1612 Engine Enamel Ceramic 500degrees and Ford Red DE 1605 Engine Enamel Ceramic 500degrees. I took all the plastic pieces of the car and wash them with simple green and soapy water, then primed them, and put three to four coats of red allowing for it to dry for about 1 hour between coats on summer weather about 80degrees, If colder allow for more drying time.

hey now, i happen to like my 85 gsl interior. looks great with all the metallic colors, im leacin mine the color it already is. if i can find my digi cam i'll put up some pics of mine with a nice kenwood in it. the rest of the stereo is still under construction though. im thinkin 6.5 comps in back, nicer 4's up front, and maybe a sub if the comps dont have enough bass for me
