Here's a crazy question:

I've got an FD alt in my FB. I don't know if they have these kits for FDs but I'm wondering if it'd be possible to get the alt pulley for an FD alt, but the crank and water pump pulleys for an FB....

*sigh* yet more parts to powedercoat... Scott!

Jon

Edit: If that *is* possible, it opens a whole world of possibilities for people in terms of Alt Swaps... FD dual-v-belt alt pulleys are nigh impossible to find, I was lucky I got mine. With this kit (assuming it can be adapted), an FD alt, a 3/8" bolt with two washers and a nut, and a connector cut from a wiring harness of a junker mazda you've got yourself a 100amp FD alt swap that's a direct bolt-in!

Jon first off after a long yeay of you wating niceley your front lenses are on the way and you should be seeing them about the first of Jan 07, or 08 what ever happends first... {Wink}

now on the pulleys you can reuse your FD alt pulley and all I have to do is sell you the water and main pullies with a 5 rib belt...

Talk to Hyperformance2K I may have spelled his forum name wrong but I know he has an extra FD alt pulley laying around and when you are ready to order have him bring it buy the shop and I will toss it in the box for you..

this kit will bolt on just like the factory pullies and you can stack the A\C & P\S pullies on just like what you are doing now...

So you will NOT lose you the A\C or P\S in the car...

Dan,

Do you do the pulleys in house or have them sourced? How thick is the center section? Since I'm wondering if I can get them sent out (or even you might be able to do it) to have them lightened and balanced.

Am i going to receive any benefit from switching over to this setup? Currently i have a dual alternator pulley and running two goodyear v-belts, no airpump, just the alt and the water pump
