*** job

Hiya folks. What I need to know is can you put the back section of a 79 onto the back of an 85? The 85 I have has some pretty nasty cosmestic damage in the back, but I found a 79 perfectly intact (body wise) and I want to graft one onto the other.

no problems with axle length or anything? I am curious because when I look at a 79 it seems leaner than an 85.

I'm guessing you were born into money. Not everyone can just go buy a new car. Not to mention if this one is important to them in some way, then why buy a new one when you can just fix the old?

The cost of grafting a complete rear end to another car will most likly be more than you can find another Rx-7 for.

We have the tools to cut and shape, and we can get ahold of a welder. So in this case, it would be cheaper. Plus, this car is very special to me; its the first car I ever bought. So I want to save it if I can.

I would say keep looking for a FB rather than using a SA. If the car is special you do not want it looking like a basket case / half breed. Unless you would not be using the rear external sheet metal in which case it would not matter.

So you just happened to have the *** end of 79 sitting around? And is your time worth nothing to you?

time always has value to it. However, if it is worth you time to do it, then yes I will do it. Just because I wish to do it doesn't mean I have all the time in the world. It is something call prority...
