Thanks.

I got this idea off the MazSpeed Forum a while back. I'd like someone who has connections to a radiator shop to try it.

The MazdaTrix 3 core radiator is just a 3 row core in standard 1979-82 end tanks... The taller 83-85 Radiator end tanks are too small to put a 3 row core into.

The idea was to take 1979-1982 end tanks, and put a tall 3 row cor into them with 83-85 brackets attached to the side.

Thus, a 3 row tall style radiator. For those of us who have/will have air-oil coolers mounted in the stock GSL-SE location.

That or those that have hardcore engine mods or have done engine swaps and need major cooling capacity.

What is the best radiator in terms of bang for buck, I am a student and don't have **** loads of cash to blow on a "super duper chrome plated save little babies caught in fires, i'm the best in the world, 20,000 patents pending piece of artwork with a certificate of authenticity" radiator that works just as well as a canadian tire special.

any personal experiences with good radiators that might help me with my choice?

cheers'

1st7heaven, check your PM's

4o4 - From what I've heard/read/gathered on the radiator subject, the stocker should do fine unless you're A)running forced induction or B)overheating with a perfectly running system (which is unlikely, BTW). If I were in your situation, which I kind of am (I'm a poor college student too, but I have NO radiator), I would make sure everything is working fine, no leaks and whatnot. If that doesn't work, take your current radiator somewhere to have it re-cored. this shouldn't be more than about $50 USD.
