Anyone know whats up with mazdatrix?

Okay I got alittle beef...and to be quite honest I'm alittle more than frusterated. I'm kinda being held up in my build because I need the body kit that I ordered from mazdatrix to finish my car. Although you might say that I don't need it to finish the car. But I'm finishing rebuilding some of the rear fender and I want to do alittle modification with the fender as to how it relates to the side skirts. About a year ago I order the front and rear air dam...side skirts...and one of the whale tales...and about a day later I received a phone call from one of the representatives informing me that they have been having a problem with their fibreglass suppliers and currently have 0 parts to sell and that I could wait or cancell my order but that they didn't know when they would have enough fibre glass to fill their orders. So I was like alright it'll probably only take a couple of months for them to get caught up, and I'd just order later. Well I got kinda busy in moving...the work and school so about a month ago I once again ordered the same parts hoping that I wouldn't get a phone call or anything. And after a day still no call so I thought I was in the clear. But it was the next day that I received the call...and to be honest I was alittle steaming but didn't cancell my order this time so at least I have a place in line for parts. Can anyone explain to me how they stay in buisness...because honestly I'm sure I'm not the only customer that is more than pissed. And the sad part is I don't like any other kit...anyone have an explanation as to their neglegance?

I have ordered from them before and it does take a lllllllooooooonnnnnngggggggg time to get anything from them. Racing Beat and the other sites have them beat buy weeks!!!!!

I try to use someone else unless I am in no hurry (like the car is down for the winter, no-hurry).

Good luck.

I can see your frustration, but they called you back immediately (and again later on) and gave you the option of cancelling the order. They have been up front and honest with you. Finding good vendors (fiberglass, steel, part, whatever...) can be tough, so I understand their side too. Maybe they cannot find a fiberglass company that can meet their quality standards. On the other side, if they cannot deliver the product, they should not offer it on their website.

If you are losing your patience, get a refund. You've had that option all along. It's a bummer that you do not like any other kits, so guess you're stuck with no kit. Don't be so hard on MazdaTrix. They could've NOT called you back twice. Instead they could've waited for YOU to figure it out on your own.

Just my canadian nickel.....

Ive been dealing with mazdatrix for years. They supplied my first body kit, built my current S5 motor, and provided me with RacingBeat part weeks faster than RB ever did.Ive been down to their shop and toured it several times....they are very busy.
I agree with SE_in_vt.Part of the problem Im sure,is that the fiberglass they sell is primarily WingsWest pieces. If WingsWest is having supply, labor or shipping issues, then Mazdatrix wont have any product to fill their orders.Plus, big fragile body parts incurr a lot more hassles with shipping and storage, for them and their suppliers.Mazdatrixs' shop isnt that big,so they may be putting priority on engine builds, servicework,or Mazdatrix-built parts that have a better profit margin.

They did call you back, which is good. You cant get anywhere without communication, but if you want it sooner than Mazdatrix can supply it,try calling WingsWest directly.Ask for Sylvestor.Im not sure if he still works there now,but a couple years ago he hooked me up with a great deal on an online order and shipping costs.

I order stuff from them all the time, and while its usually nothing big or really expensive, I use USPS priority and always get it within 2-3 buisness days. Never had a problem

I, too, have never had any problems with the folks at Mazdatrix.
In a situation when you are the middle man and your supplier just flat can't supply you, what can you do? How often to people order fiberglass bodykits from mazdatrix, anyways?
I think them calling you the next day and saying they can't get the parts to you is very good customer service. I think a lot of people here have done business with people who have gotten calls weeks later, or not gotten calls at all, saying they won't be able to deliver.
I would recommend Mazdatrix to anybody.

Another "good luck with Mazdatrix" me-too. Have had ZERO problems with order correctness or delivery timeliness, ESPECIALLY considering they're clear over on the wrong side of the country.

I've never ordered bodykits, either. It sounds like the situation is between them and their supplier. But, if they took the listing down, then even IF the supplier got on the ball, they'd definitely not sell any. (Maybe the supplier has to have a minimum order before setting up a production run?)

If there supplier is giving them a really good price for resale, then more than likely they have to get xx parts in order to keep that price break, chances are with that 20 year old pos body style that we all love and hold sacred they probably don't have enough orders to keep the quantity breaks in effect therefore negating the reason for them doing business (bottom line...is the bottom line)

just my 1 cent (i'm terminally broke, so broke that even the IRS isn't interested in me!)

let me fix something

I wasn't complaining about the lack of customer service as a matter a fact I was very pleased that they called me at least within 2 days...by beef was how can they be out of fibreglass a year and a half ago and still be out now...I don't understand how they can stay in buisness if they never have any of the fibreglass parts that they manufacture?

I've never delt with them...yet. I like their website tho. They stay in business cuz of the variety of parts they sell..that they have in stock. Parts is a very very good business. When I was with Chrysler..the parts they sold covered 70% of their expenses alone.

I ordered parts, got an email if I was sure (due to high shipping costs) and recieved the goods three days later. And I'm in a different continent (Europe)!

What kit are you looking for? I've seen their kits and I sell the same kits. I even have one on my car. One thing to understand; our cars are old and not everyone continues to make things for them. But if I can help, let me know.

yeah ive never had a problem with Mazdatrix. The people there are real cool w/ me and everytime i need a part they have it in stock. I guess it sux for you since you live so far from them. I only live 15 minutes away. You cant really blame them because sometimes they just get really busy and backed up w all the orders.

same here I've ordered from there before and always happy with the service and quickness in shipping...I guess it kind of shocks me how they can still offer a product when their suppy lines to make those products are hindered...they should at least post a warning that because of a lack of fibreglass parts and kits containing fibreglass are temporarily unavailable.

I've ordered DOZENS of things from them w/ no problem-but that was like 10 years ago. It's good to know of recent problems as I'm thinking of ordering a new carb. May go strait to RB now.

Dude, did you read the thread? 99.99% are saying there's no problem, and you say "It's good to know of recent problems as I'm thinking of ordering a new carb. May go strait to RB now."?
