do i need the upper and the lower or does the upper bolt up to the stock? this is for an 85 12a

You need both, still not sure if the mikuni will fit the dellorto one... but you could e-mail RB and ask, they should know. Short of that, it's gonna be custom-fab unless RB or someone on here can find you one.

the mikuni will fit the dellorto manifold.

PPH, DHLA, DCOE all have same bolt patterns. The RB manifold is for a 48mm and Mikuni's are typically 44mm though. Might be two round 48mm holes where the 44mm round carb bolts up, but i've seen several people do that.

I think they did make a 48 mikuni but never saw one on a rotary.

if you have a 12-a, you can either call rotary shack or rotary reliablity for a 1-piece intake manifold. I bought one less than 2 years ago from RR&R. I think it was close to $200. yes, brad is right...all side draft will bolt right in. ...

if you have a 13-B, then you will need an adaptor plate which will cost you another $150 appx.
