any idea what this is?

It's an intake, obviously, but.....does anyone think it's custom or some strange off brand?
I'm debating using it or trading / selling. think it'd be a gain over the stock intake with a nikki on the top?

open plenum means that the barrels of the carb aren't separated once they hit the intake, correct?

I've been super curious on if it'd give any gains, but I don't want to rip my car apart when i need to drive it, Lol. I would imagine it has to have some sort of gain over stock, though.

It would depend on the carb. Jeff20B can probably comment with some experience
about it.

From the looks of the footprint of what was on there, I suspect it came from a
boosted application that had one of the 4 barrel to 2 barrel sidedraft or throttle
body adapters on it. Just a guess but I've seen them before.

Maybe not this one but something like it.

Definitely custom... looks like a Holley bolt pattern though.

Only thing you need to be careful of is making sure when the Nikki is installed that the primary barrels are feeding the primary (inner) ports, and the secondary barrels are feeding the secondary (outer) ports. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to run a decent size spacer on top of that carb to add a little plenum volume.

i got it with the whole disassembled 12a that i picked up from some kid. I'm pretty sure he said he had a nikki sitting on it. I have the nikki that came with it, but it's in pieces and rusted shut and was not attached to it.... other than that he didn't know anything about it.
