Cool Another vibration issue thread w/ video!

So my car started having a weird vibration during start up. Vibration is in the shifter. And it seems like theres a noise that comes with it! the whole cabin shakes as well

BUT! after the car is warm. There is no vibration?

Background Info: 82 GSL with 231K. Rebuilt engine @ 190K says first owner

Car sat from 2001-2011. Original owner owned it from 82-2011, until second owner bought it and had a brief stint with car for about 6 months, then sold it to me!

so I can say I am initially the second owner.

On 1/13/12 I was doing some highway speeding. excess of 100+mph.
(while there was no cars, no reckless driving, just some top-speed runs)

And I guess this is the outcome of my hardcore driving.

Checked the play in the driveshaft and there is none. its pretty solid.

Videos below.

How old are the tires? I would start by rotating them, then seeing if anything changed. Not much else I can think of that would be heat dependant, except maybe a dragging brake.

Good luck.

To clarify. The vibration is only present at idle. Not during motion.

Sounds like motor mounts but goes away after warms up is very odd and makes me thing that the motor is firing against itself thus rocking the motor back in forth. Perhaps an idle issue. See if playing with the idle which changes rich/lean condition during idle makes it go away, also see if you can pin point it to a certain RPM.

I was thinking maybe a ignition fuel issue as well. Tranny mounts and engine looked solid

Sorry about that. Couldn't watch the videos, so I was "shooting from the hip".
