So I finally have the motor back in with a functional oil pressure guage reading good numbers, ok numbers. I have the car running but I have to dump oil down the carb to get it going. Not only do I hate doing this but I really shouldn't have too. The last time I got it running, first time, it seemed like I only needed to add oil the first couple times I started it but this time it won't start without it after a few days and several starts. I have not taken the car for a drive yet or really let it run for any substantial amount of time, still dealing with the remnants of oil in my exhaust. Tomorrow I will take it out but is this generally the case? I don't have a lot of new parts, oil seals, side seals and gaskets. Everything else was ok. I had to pull the motor to change the oil seals and had no oil pressure.
I know it's a compression issue I just don't know why. My apex seals are basically brand new, 8.5 all the way around. What else could cause low compression? I'm running 2 stroke mix. I cleaned the rotors pretty good, I really do not think I have any sticking seals. I did not replace the side or corner seals with new, I used old but all should be good. The last time I had the motor in the car and running I was pulling good compression numbers. The only change I have made since then was replaced the oil seals, all with new. I did read flooding may cause low compression? I am running 20w50 oil as well. Again, I know none of this should be necessary but I did build a motor out of mostly old parts, I'm not expecting perfection here.
I guess I shouldn't say I don't know, I believe I had them correct but who knows. The car was running before, but was burning a ton of oil. Maybe that was where it was gaining the compression before.
No vacuum lines except for brake booster and breather from oil filler neck to rb air cleaner asembly (you can ignore)

Yup, that's what I thought. I did see something when I was checking for a leak. The intake manifold is sitting on the break metal plate, access to the flywheel. I'll look into it more tomorrow I would do it tonight if I wasn't married.
It looks like that was the issue, I hope. I removed the access panel, it did have a small bend in it, and replaced the gasket. I added a few drops of oil last night but it idled fine. I started it up again today, started right up, with no oil and let it idle for a short bit. Thanks bud, I was looking in the completly wrong direction.
