Another deer question
I hit a deer this morning doing about 50 (me, not the deer). I'm still waiting for the adjuster to call about the damage. The right headlight housing was torn off and there is quite a bit of damage to the fender and door on that side. I'm thinking the adjuster is going to total it and I was wondering what the true value of my car is so I can get the most out of the insurance company. There are some pics from all around in an earlier post of mine. Can someone give me a ballpark to shoot for?
BTW, I already checked NADA and I think it should be between the average to high retail value.

As far as the value goes there are many factors to consider. The current condition of the upholstery and paint. The mileage of the vehicle.
Do you have current maintenance records? What new if any parts are on the vehicle?

Doc,
I didn't have time to swerve. It just jumped right into my path. As far as the other questions. It only has 140000 miles on it and I have owned it for the last 10000 miles, and I have all of the records since then. I replaced the tires, tie rod ends and ball joints. The paint was fair and the upholstry is in almost perfect condition. If you look at the pics I have posted in one of my other threads you can see that it was well maintained when I got it. The motor ran, and still runs, great.

I got 1,300 to fix my car after a deer ran into the side of the car. They didn't junk it but my car had about 35,000 on it at the time and the paint was immaculate. Good luck.
