Another 1.gen from Norway..

Well, she is almost done, after 2 loooong years in hibernation.. Specs below pictures..







CAR:

1983 Original Savannah GTX. K3 Silver metallic. F1 mirrors. Trying to keep that original look on the outside..

DRIVELINE:
12A turbo 5 speed, hardened gears.
Tilton 7.25" 2 plate clutch, on 8 lbs Tilton flywheel.
Stock 12A turbo rear end, with Mazdaspeed LSD, and Moser axles.

SUSPENSION:
ReSpeed Race coilovers up front. Adjustable pedestals rear.
Bilstein Racing adjustable dampers up front.
Custom Spax adjustable dampers rear.
Uniballs and polyurethane where applicable.
ReSpeed camber plates.

WHEELS
16" Watanabe RS-8, staggered.

BRAKES:
TII hubs, rotors and calipers front, TII rotors and calipers rear.
Black Diamond slotted and drilled rotors all around.
Porterfield Race pads all around. Steel Braided brake hoses.

INTERIOR
Two seats, and a steering wheel.
Custom roll cage and harnesses.
Defi Link instrumentation.
Custom shifter.
Battery behind passenger.

FUEL
One Aeromotive lift pump.
Custom 1 gallon surge tank.
Two Bosch Motorsport pumps.
8 AN main line
6 AN return.
Custom Fuel Rails
2x 1600 Bosch and 2x 1000 Siemens injectors.
Aeromotive regulator.
Hard lines under car, steel braided rest. All AN couplers.
Aeromotive filters.

INTAKE
Custom S4/12A LIM.
Custom UIM with tuned length runners and bellmouths.
85mm throttle body. All piping mandrel bent aluminium.
3" Intercooler.
Turbosmart Vee port dump valve.

TURBO
Turbonetics T62-1. T4 split pulse.
Custom equal length manifold. One wastegate per runner.
Two TiAL Sport MVS wastegates, into screamer pipes.
Custom 3,5" downpipe.
Custom 3,5" exhaust. Stainless, with two mufflers, and diesel dump.

COOLING/OIL
PWR 52mm radiator.
Spal Slimline electrical fan.
Two Setrab 19 row oil coolers.
Meziere 55GPH electrical waterpump.
Custom piping and inlet/outlet on engine. Remote mounted thermostat
Race Oil pump. Agip 10-60 race engine oil. KN oil filter. 12 AN hoses.
High volume oil pan.

ENGINE
J-spec 12A turbo.
R5 tall port centre plate.
12A turbo rotors.
Extend ported.
Dowelled and Guru studs.
NRS 3mm Ceramic Apex seals.
Hardened race gears front and rear.
Race bearings.
Modified oil galleries.
Race regulator.
Custom solid motor mounts.
Haltech E6X engine managment


Thats about what i can remember from the top of my head.. It has taken me two years (and all of my free time and money ). Its almost done, just a few more bits and pieces before i can fire it up. Then, its off to the track!

damn! an actual savannah..i WISH i had a real jdm 12a turbo..that is my dream. im a big 12a fan good job with the setup and very clean too. post some video's for sure when its ready.

Wow that's a beautiful machine. Any shots of the intercooler setup? I totally just ripped up the stock radiator support bracket to fit my intercooler (NPR large diesel...) and I'm regretting that now.

It was one of the guys at the shop that painted the seat, funny you noticed! We call it the sad seat..

Well, she is up and running again! Started right up after a little bit of ECU hassle. Testing her at the local track in two weeks...





Still some cleaning up to do, but we are getting there!

Really like that dash. I have been thinking of something like that after removeing a 79 dash, and feeling how heavy the steel framework is. Also, the rest of the car is pretty nice

Thanks for the replies!

Installed the remote mount power steering today, behind the drivers seat. Seems to be working fine! Only a couple more things to do before i can take her out on a test run..
