Use the above image and then reference it against the "T" shaped plug at the bottom of this diagram for the wire colors...that should have you completely covered, effendi...

I have a 79 and i was thinking of converting just to get rid of the external voltage regulator.
Are there any other reaseon to convert?

More amps for big lights or big bass or even going electric fan and/or water pump (Meziere) plus the above...Innitab's FAQ page has the alternator link you'll be looking for that has the S5 conversion plus somebody posted how to convert from the external regulator to the S5-type internally regulated alternator on the same thread...

Go drop in an s4 and onwards alternator man. I put one into my s3 and it's a lot better. S3 alternator has 55amp. S4 onwards has 85amp.
Got the Alternator for $85AUD and rewiring cost me about $15. Bolts straight in.
