I like it. In fact if I didn't think it would be more work than I want right now I might try it as well. Is that what everyone is doing to smooth it out, bondo'ing?

Its hard to tell from that photochop how far you want to take the nose back. But its gonna be a lot of work, you'll have to remove the metal bumper, along with the struts that support it, make some kind of panel to fill the now huge void and then attempt to mold it to fit the lines of the car. Certainly not a beginners project. The rear can be done more easily, if you remove your bumper you'll see what I mean. It basically leaves a big rectangle (and a few curved pieces for the side) to fill, easily done by making a few steel braces, covered with a large pice of sheetmetal, then blended with some filler (evercoat lightweight filler is much better than bondo btw) Personally I like old school and like the look of the FB as is, but hey thats just me...

hey i have a picture of the rear end missing its tail lights and rear bumper that i can post up tomorrow....i removed them today and was thinking of taking out the old rx-7 tail lights and replacing them with supra tail lights....the bumper is going to be for sale...

another thing is that the front end will be a bit difficult...but if u want to u can remove the bumper shocks and it will move back easily....problem with this is that ull be missing ur shocks for added support from a front end collision...but i guess thats the sacrifice ull have to take to add a cosmetic change

listen you guys this is a very very simple task ive done it i my car ive pushed my bumper in three inches and made a custom front end from an old civic bumper i had laying around. i also shaved the back bumper off. i have a thread somewhere called (shaved back bumper what do you think) the front isnt finished in the pictures but its done now if you want updated pictures email me alh27@bellsouth.net now to push the front nose in all you have to do is remove the front cover. take two bolts out of the the metal bumper and it slides right out. then go under the hood and there are two bolts on each side that hold the bumper shocks in. slides those out take a grinder and cut the desired inches off of it weld it back together throw them back on the car. mount the metal piece back on. then test fit the cover mark on the fenders where it goes to then cut and shape the fenders to that point and put the cover back on your done and theres no need to repaint either. hope that helps!
