IL To all Aluminum radiator and electric fan guys

Ok. I just got an aluminum radiator and I am about to install it with an electric fan. I have two questions for you guys. One what do you do about the coolant level sensor, mine does not have a place for a sensor. I will be stuck with the add coolant light forever. Second, what kind've thermostat have you guys used for your E-fan. I just bought a 185 degree non adjustable one that looks like the probe just slides into the radiator. Is this what you guys run or is there a better set up that I can get. Thanks!

You could take apart the dash, and unplug the wiring for the light...or you could drill a hole and tap it to fit a pipe thread. And then install sensor. Or have someone weld a bung into it, for the same purpose.

I dont know about the thermostat for the fan...have to have someone else help you on that one.

I can't help you with the t-stat but if you simply ground the wire to the sensor you will not have the add coolant light on anymore.

Really? Just grounding that wire will shut it off? That's cool. Still wondering about that T-stat though.

Yes, just slide it into a fin on the radiator.
