To everyone on this subject of alignment. Thanks. My problem turned out to be a broken out shock tower support. I have bought the supports from Mevotech (rock auto) which look like originals. Installing these means taking out everything from below. In a job like this I want to replace as many components as I can to prevent any future disassembly of the suspension/brakes again. So decisions were made, see below. I'd welcome any criticism or feedback.
Since the shock spring set up seems OK, shocks look in good shape, but springs might be saggy, and I want a stock setup basically for street driving and do not want to lower; I bought coil spring boosters (rubber supports). Does anyone know if these will affect the ride stiffness?
I went ahead and bought drilled and slotted rotors, brake discs and a caliper rebuild kit. At 86$/rotor I think its worth the money to replace rather than reuse the ones coming off for repairs.
I cannot justify coilovers because I'd like the car to remain stock, I want a comfy street ride, not too stiff, and do not want to lower.
Replacing the flexible brake lines too.
I need an answer from someone about how or where the camber offset bolts are and how to replace these. I've got them but have no idea how to use them.

Hello and thanks J9fd3s,
Which model did these fit? I now have two pairs of them and guess I need to resell them. I had no idea where that part is used on Mine. When bought as part of a package to renew suspension components they were on a list for '85 GSL-SE parts on a list, probably from rockauto or mazdatrix.

those are meant for anything with a strut that bolts to the spindle like this,

with the 79-85 Rx7 the strut is the spindle
