Ahhhh Help Me Please!!!

i got my rebuilt carb back today and i am putting it on. everything is going well EXCEPT my throttle is forked up or something. when i push the gas pedal down it wont go to the floor.it's catching half way. i've messed with the cable by loosening/ tightening the tension but it's not helping. wtf, i cant really seem to see anything blocking it. any suggestions? my car hasnt run in 3 months because i've been waiting on a carb. now i have one and holy crap i cant be stopped because of this!!!!!

Don't have alot of help for you, but here goes a shot in the dark...

You said that there is nothing blocking the throtel cable, have you checked all the entry points where the cable enters the casing it runs in. I know with bicycles that if you get crap built up in thoes openings it can jam the cables.

Any way take a look there and see what you can see.

Sory I don't have any more help.

Best of Luck

the butterflies are able to open all the way. that isnt the problem; it's the gas pedal getting to the floor. lol i push it half way down and it stops and it's also kidna tough to push. arrrgggg. ANTHRAX, yes i've looked at all points and nothing seems to be restricting it's movement. i am at major loss here. this is the last thing i need to do before i crank her up and see how she runs! AHHHHH!

hmm...

check your heynes for gas pedal adjustment. It's possible that somehow it's outta whack, or if the carb isn't exactly the same year or something, it could be a problem.

Just basically get it set up so that when the car starts it idles (ie: cable not too tight), and when you push it down it *does* go to WOT.... you just might have to move your pedal down kinda thing.. hard to explain. Look in heynes for gas pedal adjustment.

My guess.
