Are there any of you guys getting away with 215's on the stock 13 inch alloys? I have 205's on now that are gettting bald and I want even more traction. Thanks for the help!!

From what I've noticed 215 will only go on 13x6 for the smallest wheel.

RX7Carl is running Sumitomo's right now on stock wheels. 215/50/13 and says that he loves it.

I recently verified this with him because I'm shopping for new rubber soon, so that's what I plan on going with too...

its too bad that BFgoodrich doesn't make ther T/A tires in that size any more. I had to but sumimotos on. There freaking awsome. I get alot of spin in comparasen to the T/A. If you can find them there best for stock 13"

and never do what I did and learned what never to do again.. I sprayed some tire shine on the tires.. then went spin. stupid me.. the tires had no grip. every corner every stop.. spin spin spin.

So a guy can safely run 205/60/13,s on the stock 13 inch rims? Anybody found any other tires of this size besides the Sumitomo,s?

I think Khumo (sp?) and Hoosier, maybe Falken. Gonna pay a bunch more for them though, if I recall correctly....

That is a fairly common size actually, and is offered by many tire manufacturers.
As for running them on stock rims, they will fit fine, but may exhibit odd wear unless the air pressure is adjusted as needed.

Anyone know if 225/50/13s are made any longer? I'm looking for something to fit a 13x8 wheel -- not quite sure 215 is enough.
