adjustable lower control arms

I saw a picture of a set of adjustable lower control arms on a datsun 510. So i decided to try to make some of my own for my first gen.heres my progress so far. coments are welcome i want some feedback.

first i got a lower control arm at the wrecking yard.
second i went and got a 3 piece teflon lined chromoly heim joint 5/8-18 thread pitch
third i cut some pieces of 1'' by 1 1/2'' steel rod then drilled a hole down the center
thats what i got so far.

I had done that on my last rx7, only complaint i had was adjusting it.

had to undo the control arm to make any adjustments,

If i were to do i again, i would try and make it so you don't have to remove the control arms to make adjustments

something along the lines of cut more off of the control arm and weld a nut inside the control arm, attached to one of these
Stainless Steel Double Adjuster, 5/8-18 Threads, 4-1/4 Inch Length - Speedway Motors, America's Oldest Speed Shop
and then a female rod end. with jam nuts of course. would allow much easier adjustments

That's a real good idea, Using that double adjuster.
That's something I kind of didn't consider because I don't
See myself making many adjustments that often. I kind of
Concider it of of those things where I'll set it and forget it.
But obviously check it every so often

Putting a lot of faith in the bolt.....

However, with the fabbing talent (I don't have) and the right welding equipment and knowledge (nada here) you just saved $500 vs the racingbeat lower arms

congrats

I still need to order a new ball joint and powder coat the arm then i have to do it all over again for the other arm that currently is still on the car.
then after i do that i will have to align the car with the specs i want.

PS. not sure i understand about the faith on the bolt...
