Additional SE project

I bougth this car las weekend from perfect7 and was surprised as to how clean it was. I was even more surprised when I noticed it had new tires. The car is rust free and rock solid, and did I mentioned it has new tires? Any way, here are some pics with the engine in. I will try to get it running by Monday if the weather holds.

Yes indeed, it is a carb. I am putting it together for one of my teenagers and I had to work with what was laying around the garage. A lot of the wiring is cut off so the Fuel injection system will have to wait until I get a good harness.

Looks like you have gotten far on short time...
I was interested in that SE myself but my friends car trailer was stolen a month ago and I couldn't make arangements to pick her up. Nice to see she will be running soon. Also, if you need I have a complete lower and upper manifold for the SE motor. I also have the wiring harness and computer, A/C compressor, fanclutch with fan, and other misc stuff. If you need anything email me at lwnslw@aol.com and I can give you a very good deal of the stuff as I no longer need any of it, I'm installing a carburated TII motor into my SE.

More work

I did some more work today, not as much as yesterday but some indeed. I mounted a three row radiator out of a REPU. Had a hell of a time finding hoses that would fit, but gotten anyway. Mounted the front brakes and lines and mounted the exhaust manifold. Tomorrow I should finish the rear brakes and complete the exhaust up to the rear end. (waiting on muffler). I hoping I can started sometime tomorrow. We'll see.

So far I have invested $619 dollars. $600 for the car and $19 for the readiator hoses. Of course I have invested about a weekend on it as well. I do al my work at home and do keep the family involve. Perfect7 facilitated a rebuild kit for all four calipers and new pads. Everything else I already had, engine, tranny, carbs and the whole FI setup for whenever I go back to FI.

if youre in need of a muffler and wiring harness i have both on my parts GSLSE. the muffler is off and i was about to get it blasted and painted with a high heat black paint, but as for the harness. its still on the car and i was planning on sending that along with other good prts to the junkyard since no one is interested. if you want the wiring harness, tell me the easies to get it off and ill sale it to you for dirt cheap. and for the muffler, if youre interested, ill sale it to you as is, or for a little more after it gets blasted and painted, your choice.

The harness is hard to take out. You have to take the dash out in order to get the whole thing out. There were enough cables to get power to most everywere. Today I will figure ou waht wires go to the alternator from the right side. I also need to figure out how to place a fuseble link for the computer since that got cut off. I have the fuseble link for the main and the lights, but not the one for the computer.
