add engine oil light

It comes on pretty much everyday when I drive my car after it gts warmed up. The thing is that the oil level is fine and I dont lose oil pressure or anything. Think I should just disconnect it or what?

It might be a loose connection at the sensor, both my low oil and low coolant lights come on every so often but only stay on for a little bit, both levels are fine so I don't worry about it. I haven't taken to time to check the connections.

mine wont shut back off till I turn the car off and restart. It is quite annoying, especially at night cause its so bright.

Hmmm, check the connection at the sensor, its probably dirty. If that doesn't do it then the sensor is probably shot. I guess you could unplug it, but its there for a reason. Its up to you.

The oil level sensor is on a closed circuit setup, meaning the light comes on when it contacts to ground.. I imagine you got a wire touching ground...

My oil light and buzzer come on under extremely hard cornering. It sucks *** when your auto-xing and every time you hit a hard shard corner it comes on screaming at me.

Mine came on a about a week after I put in my new motor. Freaked me out, pulled over and checked the oil level, it was fine.

I ended up just disconnecting mine after about a week of not finding any shorts etc... If you keep an eye on you oil level like I do you'll be fine without the light. Since I used to drive a bug i make it a habbit of checking the oil every time i get gas.

My e-brake light comes on during hard cornering.

So does mine. In almost any car I drive on a regular basis.

It's kinda like a turn signal. Left green blinker arrow, Right green blinker arrow, U-Turn light...

For some reason I can picture this little light getting out of the instrument panel, start waving it's little arms at you, screaming and call you names.

Ohhh my God it might as well. it might be a little less annoying, atleast I could grab it by its scronney little neck and strangel it.
