About to install new stereo, will this kit work?

I am about to install a new stereo in the 84 GSL, will this dash kit work?

I've used one. Cheap, some of the plastic comes warped, looks generic, but it definately works.

heres my radio with that kit. it was a little work to get it to brace up securly. but i got it
i also used the closed lower portion of the kit so i could install my switches.

What would you guys recomend as a good starter sys? Mine has no sterio, and had none when i bought it, my cousin is bugging me to install 2 subwoofers(12" ) and an 02 amp, all connected to either a kennwood or an alpine system, would you reccomend? if not, how much would I be looking for for a "new system that consists of 2 subwoofers(12" - 15" ) and 4 tweeters with a reciever?
