GOT WANKEL?
650 is too big for a stock port. Could be used for a bridgeport, but way too much fuel for a stockport. search for "rb holley specs". Someone posted the specs of the 465 or pm me and i will try and dig it up.

Dellorto are excellent. Rebuild kits can be had from www.dellorto.com ( its in th UK ) and it only took about a week to get it shipped. You have to be careful about how you deal with the extra thick AP gasket but other than that its pretty straight forward. Go to this link for a lot of info for tuning it once you get it on the car.

When I tore my 1st RB Prepped Holley apart ie years ago I called them about what they had Printed versus what was the Real Deal. Jim from RB told me that they had Mistated the Spec's and should have read SP stood for Stock Port not Street Port.
This Spec Sheet is a Basic Starting Point and some parts have been changed alittle threw the years.
Just a good starting point and every Stock12A with this set-up will get you going until you figure out whatever parts are needed for your Style of Driving.
If you purschase one of these RB 465 Holleys from them I can give Ya's some Great Advise to make them work even better.
The only Holley's that I will help with are the RB Prepped 465cfm Carbs Part # R1848-1. It will cost you about $275.00 to dew the upgrades (Yourself). On top of buying the Carb from RB.
Sounds like alot but if your running a StreetPort and want your Car to Idle and Run like a Banshee, I will post all the Goodies that need to be Modified. These Mods work great for SteetPort and StreetPort with a Mild Bridgie.
As stated above this is only for the RB Prepped Holleys. So don't ask about any other Carbs

I gave up on RB Holley carbs along time ago! Not my cup of tea. Personally I think there are better carbs out there if you know how to tune/jet, but thats just my 2 cents.

K, looking at the specs for the 465 RB Holley, it says they throw in a #49 jet on the primary side... I suppose this could be the source of my woes for my 390cfm Holley.. Even it comes with #59 jets! 49's seem bloody tiny! or am I mistaken? I get 23 MPG on a routine basis, so I'm not complaining, but my state of tune leaves something to be desired...

stock 600 holley
I've been running a stock 600 holley on my stock 12a for some time now. A 600 runs fine if you know how to set up holleys. The idle is a little rich but it runs great though the power band and has excellant top end. I could fix the rich idle problem with smaller jets. Right now it has #52's in it. Rb does extensive modifications to thier rb carbs. I yet don't know why. This 600 even still has a power valve it it which rb says you can't do.

I do not prefer rb holleys they send 49 jets wich cause a high idel and the bowls the put on the unit cause slosh on cornering. why make a 465 carburator for a sports car without puting good bowls on them. 800+ bucks for the kit then another 150+ for the bowls why not sell them with the right bowls to begin with.

I'll post the Info today.
The only thing I ask is not to get alot of PM's asking me what if I do This or That.
I did this awhile back and was overwhelmed with ?'s.
Every application and Engine will respond differently no matter what setup your running.
I have great luck with these Mod's on 4 of the RB 465 Holleys that I have done the Extra Work and Spent $$$ that it takes to make them work right.
