? about fc oil cooler lines

Ok i read the quide for swapping the fc cooler into the fb. Here is the ? i can get one of these coolers fairly cheap. Without lines of course. I was looking at the stainless ones from mazdatrix. Should i get the set for the fc or the 79-82. Will the fc ones work on the block??? Or should try to source a fb one. Thanks as always

you cant use the 79-82 on a FC OC. The inlet is on top whle the outlet is on the side plus they are banjo. As the result, there will be a gap between the OC and radiator IF you thats the route you wanna take. Typical installation of a FC OC on a FB is in front of the A/C condenser and radiator.

I think its long enough since I have other set-up that includes the FC stock oil lines. Im sure someone else will post it up. If not, LMK and I will look int it since I have an extra FC OC incuding mazdatrix FC SS lines.

they should be long enough but IIRC you will still need to modify the fittings at the engine. Becuase they are different than the FC i think. But Check the thread again and thatll tell you. The combination of FC oil lines and 12A fittings you can make them work.

https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/how-install-fc-oil-cooler-1st-gen-write-up-pics-462460/ for quick reference

you will still need to get the filter pedestal from an FC. Think mazdatrix has em if you cant find one around.

engine side is all the same as long as it is not the AN type. The OC side is banjo bolt.

Doesn't have to be an FC pedistal, just a non-beehive one. Personally, I have my lines made, so much cheaper. Do need the FC line parts though.
