What are the markings on the 9lb rotors? How can you tell the difference?

 

There is a site that tells you which years had which compression/weight rotars,I'm trying to track that site down again. I'll post it up if I find it.

I have a new motor but I'm not convinced of its contents. I can look in through the ports, is was ported and I can see quite a bit, and see stampings in the rotors. Normally I wouldn't question it but there are some inconsistancies which concern me to wonder.

 

I know what years had what rotors. I've read before the markings on the rotors themselves have specific meanings.

 

Look for the N in the compression pocket/bathtub area. All the '83-'85 rotors I've seen have it near the F or R.

 

what does the "n" mean? I really want to know what the markings are for the turbo rotors.

 

I couldn't tell you. I should have mentioned all 12A '83-'85 rotors have the N.
