The 87 6port 13B can go into your GSL.
You need a couple of things:
- 84-85 GSL-SE front motor mount ($50 used)
- 84-85 GSL-SE oilpan ($50 used)
- 84-85 GSL-SE front motor cover ($50used)
- Aftermarket carburetor and intake Dellorto, Weber, Mikuini... (u can score one used for $400 or less)
- Or an adapter for your carburator setup you have now ($100 aprox) plus the know how of tweaking it to work on a bigger motor
- Aftermarket fuel pump ($100 aprox)
That's about it... I bet I'm forgetting something... I'm tired...
And YES the GSL tranny will bolt right up to the 13B without changing anything as long as both are 5 speeds.
If you know what your doing or have done this before it can be done in about a weekend... but it never works that way because you'll more then likely be missing something.
If you've never done it before... but have pretty good mechanical understanding/skills, then definatly longer....
But if you'd be learning for your first time and skills are minimal.... then I hope this is not ur dailydriver.
