'85 dash & gauge cluster removal help

So I'm trying to remove the gauge cluster and dash in an '85 and it's giving me a challenge.
I've search on here and yt but I did not find much info.
I believe I removed all of the screws to remove the dash, but the gauge cluster won't move up enough for me to tilt it down, it feels like the wires and odometer cable at the back is preventing it from moving much.

Does anyone know of a video that shows the dash/cluster removal or a thread that has the steps?
Or can anyone tell me how to remove them?

Thanks for the help!

In my experience with my 83, you need to reach from the back and disconnect the speedo cable in order to get enough room to move the cluster out. Then you can get the big electrical connectors. An alternative is to disconnect the cable at the transmission and create enough slack in the engine bay / firewall to move the cluster.

The speedometer cable pushes in and snaps with a collar at the back of the gauge. To remove it, you squeeze and pull toward the front of the car. Be gentle and don't force it because the plastic is old! I like to push toward the gauge, squeeze, and then pull away from the gauge.

Good luck!

Thanks for the help. After removing the speedo cable the cluster was easier to remove, and then the dash came out with some maneuvering!
