i was wondering what needs to be done to make this swap possible ? if anything at all . the tail shafts ... can they be swaped ? will the clutch fit?
reason i am asking is because i have a guy that wants to buy a transmission from me but he has an 80 and the only transmission i have is out of an 85 , i really want to help the guy out .

 

The 85 transmission shifter will fit too far forward and may have to cut the tunnel forward and modify the shifter.

There is a thread somewhere that tells how to swap the shift rods from the 80 model to the 85 so that you can use the SA housing on the FB.
