ECU 5speed or Auto ?

Is ther e a difference between a 5speed ECU and a Auto ECU ? I converted my GXL from an auto to 5speed and Im just wanting to know if there is a difference and should I get the 5speed one ? I can get it for 25.00

there is a seperate AT-EC unit that piggy backs into the ECU, so there should be no difference.

Just match the part number rather than the application.

Make sure the AT computer is unplugged! If it's not, you will see a flashing hold light on your gauge cluster, it's under the passanger kick panel, bolted to the side, has two connectors going to it.

I know where the ecu is Ive been in there to do the wire soldering . But I never saw a seperate kinda controler there? What does it look like? how many plugs go to it? My car is a 87 GXL . Also I dont have any lights flashing .
