Matt, welcome to the forum.
Here is the 1st thing I have new owners of their car read
https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-archive-71/other-what-look-when-buying-just-after-you-purchased-your-rx-7-a-601804/
After that at the top of the page is the FAQ section which is some more reading material.

50k original miles?! in my very honest opinion i'd leave it completely alone if i were you, for the following reasons, 1. stock gsl-se's are getting harder an harder 2 come by, 2. with that low miles makes it ever more rare, 3. i left mine alone and the value has apreciated (as far as street value with fello enthu) started offering me 2k all the way up to 4k as of recently, but i cant tell u what 2 do an what not 2 do, those are just my suggestions, follow them if u'd like, i wanted a turbo 1st gen so bad , so i just ended up buyin another cheap frankenstin, mayb u can go that route, but like i said it's totally up 2 u, good luck either way, def lookin foreward to pics both before and after

Terrified.
My suggestion is to go to Wal - Mart, buy a cherry bomb exhaust. Buy high compression pistons for it, then turbo it and when routing the intercooler back into the intake then hook that up to a supercharger with an ultra small pulley.
In all seriousness though - research because you asking this question truly means you are far from ready to undertake any modifications to your car.

From the experiance of have alot of Rx-7's i would almose agree to leave it all stock, i have an 84 rx-7 with the GSL-SE swap and its just priceless to have someone ask how many miles that I have on the car (170k) and see there jaw drop; I can only imagine the looks of you seven with that low of miles. Wow your car must be so clean. Good luck with everything that you do with the car, just remember that these are getting rare, same with most stock parts.

My GSL-SE has a lot of miles (232k) but everything on it was in excellent condition with almost no rust at all anywhere except paint. It lived in Arizona is why. I thought long and hard about modding it or not, so what I've done is I went for the stock / clean look but changed things that are either worn out or going to fail / don't work well due to age or design. Since it has 232k miles, I don't feel guilty about replacing parts now since the value is pretty much gone compared to a car with original 50k miles.
