Exclamation 84 electrical issue

ok i did a motor swap in my car, just replcaed the 12a with another 12a.

had everything hooked up on tuesday and had it running with no problems, had it running with no problems yesarday and today around 1..

now i got home tonight around 8 and went to start the car to let it warm up to temp to figure out y my temp senser gauge wasnt working..

turned the battery charger on the battery, car would start without battery charger on, but with the cold figured i just turn it on.

i turn the key on and started to hear this humming, sorta buzing sound come from the engine bay. my rpm gauge started to tweek out and jump from 0rpms to 2000rpms and none of my warning lights were working. i turned the key to start and nothing happend.

tunr the key off and back on a couple of times and still did it. got out of the car to look at the engine bay to figure out were it was comming from and i thing it was comming form the area were there are the mutiple color connecters and vaccume lines. i unpluged one at a time and rehooked it and the buzzing stoped and the car would turn over really really slow. then it started buzzing and geeking out again. so i did the same thing as before and it did stop

they i walked a way and it stoped and hasnt done it again but the car is still turning over slowly and i have the battery charger on 200amps when im trying to start it and 10amps when im not.

im just confused on the thing i dont know anything about electrical

the motor i got was outta a 85 rx7 gs and mine a 84 rx7 gsl and the motor doesnt seem to have sensors on it like the origalnal one in the car did

please help me this is my first project car and i have to have it out of the garage tomorrow/sunday

when nothing happened, did you have power for interior lights, clock, etc. or was everything off completely?

The only time that's happened to me is when the 50A fusible link (2nd from the bottom on my car) was blown. Because yours is starting now, perhaps your link is loose, or another wire in the circuit has intermittent continuity.

Did you have the battery charger hooked up backwards?

+1. don't go by wire colors on the battery. some ppl will replace bat cables with whatever length they can find whether it's the right color or not.
