83 oil pan removal

Ok just last weekend i'd tried to remove my oil pan off my 83 and the bastard bar is in the way. Does anyone have any info on how to take this bar off. I've read the manual and its says to beat with a hammer or to get some joint remover. Any help would be great. I gotta stop this damn oil leak you guys should see the puddle at my house

I’ve done it this way.
Unbolt the front engine mounts where it meets the rubber insulation
Jack up the car in the bell housing. Be sure to put a piece of wood between the jack & bell housing

Btw, be sure to have the car on jack stand. You will need to have lots of clearance.

Once the pan bolts are out, you will need to a 10mm wrench to remove the pick up tube.

Use brake cleaner to clean the pan and use silicone instead of a gasket. I never use a gasket.
