'83 and '84 clutch spring difference
So I searched 'clutch pedal sticking to floor' and replaced the master and slave cylander, as was reccommended. Its sticking to the floor once more, so Ive already ordered a new clutch system, to eliminate the problem, and not have to worry about it again.
However I wanted to point out, and if anyone has noticed, on my '83 there is a pull spring hooked to the clutch pedal, but on my '84 there is a coil spring that actually pushes on the pedal. Has anyone noticed this?
And for my curiosity sake - is the clutch diaphram pushing against the throwout bearing, what returns the clutch pedal to the 'up position'? Or is it the spring behind and inside the master cylindar piston doing most the work? A combitination of both perhaps?
Im thinking I could get a little bit more clutch life switching to the pull type spring.
For those interested, I did not see a clutch spring listed in the model year changes..
