The only problem it finding a Honda Civic around Bay City used. Trust me I will keep an eye out for one though. What about a Saturn those are easy to come by around here.

Thanks for the words of advice

Chris, Saturns are not a bad car. Insurance should be low also. A few parts are hard to get on them from parts stores. But all and all an ok car.

All right turbo all and all a side, how long ago did you live in Mt. Pleasant? It’s not too bad in midland. I'm surprised you did not say anything about Bay City were I live. But there is not too much to a town with a bar on every corner, and a drug store across the street But how long have you owned that 7, it looks nice.

I actually grew up in Shepherd and went to the Shepherd High School, but that is such a small hick town I just tell people that I grew up in Mt. Pleasant (like that’s better…lol).
I also lived in Grand Rapid for a few years before I got sick of the cold and snow, so now I live in Houston. My dad is retired from Dow in Midland; I remember when we had to drive all the way to Midland just to go to a mall. Now I have 5 big mall’s within 10 miles of my house.

I’ve had the 7 since 1995, but it’s been parked for the last few years. I actually just put insurance on it today and I hope to get it registered tomorrow. Then the big test is to get through the emissions test. Engine wise it’s not to modified but I’m running the Microtech EMS so it will take a few tries to get it through.

here is my other baby:

The only picture I have of my dads 1970 Roadrunner. Still missing some decals, it was just painted and still needed to be wet sanded.

He's wanted one of these for a long time. He had a new one in 1969 and wished he never sold it.

Nice but whats all this talk about an emissions test? When I took over my 7 from my dad I did not have to pass any tests.

That’s just a Houston, TX thing.

It sucks but I think it do able. It passed before when I first moved here but like I said it’s been sitting and now I have a series 5 engine, bigger injectors, 3” down pipe, 3” high flow CAT. and stand alone engine management.

I’m going to get it register tonight after work.

I need to install my wideband O2 sensor yet so I can get it tuned to pass the emissions test.

For the emissions test, they actually put it on a dyno and run it throught the gears at different rpm's all will keeping an eye on the emissions.

Let me know how it goes, do you remember of any good performance shops between Bay City and Midland? I’m going to check out Redmond’s in Saginaw some time today. Don’t know much about the engines in the 7s but I know I can make go much faster.

Sorry, I don’t know of any shops that work on anything other than old muscle cars.
All my buddies in Michigan have old muscle cars, including my brother (1966 Dodge coronet), Dad (you know what he has) and my mom 1965 Mustang. That’s just my family most my aunts and uncles also have some type of muscle car. The thing is my little 80cid engine will out run most of them in the ¼ mi. haha! When it comes to stopping and turning….well I don’t even have to tell you.
