I am in the process of replacing the fuel lines from the tank forward and for the life of me can not find the big 7/16 hose. I have searched here as well as Google with no luck. Do they even make a efi 7/16 hose or is it in mm? Any help is appreciated I'm on my way to having one old hose.

Thanks but no luck there either. The hose has to be high pressure for fuel injection not the 50psi hose i can find locally. Thanks for the link though.

 

The size you are looking for is from the tank to the pump. This line does not need to be EFI rated as it is on the draw to the pump. The pressure in that line is only going to be:

pressure in tank (about atmospheric) + some head (depending on level in tank) - pressure drop through the pickup screen/tube

So regular fuel line is fine. Really you only need EFI rated after the pump. You could probably get by with non-EFI rated on the return (not high pressure), but I generally use EFI rated there just because it is easier (buy one kind/size of hose instead of several).

You can sometimes get 3/8" to fit (tight) or can use 1/2" (loose, double up the clamps)..7/16" will fit the best if you can find it.

It'll be just fine. No difference in pressure between a carb and FI setup before the pump. It is only higher pressure from the pump to the reg on an EFI setup.

 

Napa Auto parts stores generally carry the 7/16" fuel hose.

 

Working pressure 50 psi, Bursting pressure 250psi.

What about getting the hard lines replaced? Mine are almost rusted through, am I going to have a hard time getting the hard lines replaced?
