After reading your post, I decided to add a set of those wrenches to my tool box. I just purchased off Ebay a brand new 5-piece set of Craftsman metric 12-point deep offset 10-19 mm box end wrench set. I'm sure they will come in handy one of these days.
Its tough to get it. For years, I've used a long extension with a swivel and a shallow 12mm socket to get that bolt. Worth giving that wrench a try, as I have a large set of them.
I brought these offset wrenches because they included sizes that are commonly skipped in metric sets (e.g. 16 and 18 mm). However, when I got them home to use them, the 18 mm wrench would not fit onto any 18 mm nuts I was trying to remove. I verified the size of the nuts using another 18 mm open end wrench that I had. I later found that some of the other sizes were poor fits (or didn't fit) the sizes they were labeled as (e.g. the 7 mm was to loose). I see some good reviews on these, but the set I got were very poor quality. For what it's worth, the Item number on mine is 32042 and the label indicated that they were made in India. These will be going back to the store for sure.
That’s Strange ... I have the same set ... in METRIC #32042 .... 8pc offset box wrench set and have had no issues with them .... the combo 12 x 13 mm definitely worked on removing that nut off the clutch master cylinder from the firewall ... and yes I just noticed they are made in India ... maybe I was thrown off by the “Pittsburgh” brand name of the set ... LOL
