5&6 port air pump mod problem

i did the lumbar pump mod to open the 5th and 6th ports and all went well except that the pump turns on at the right rpm but the actuators do not pull the arms down. the 5&6 port linkage works excellent with no binding.
like i said i know the pump is functioning fine and i also used a later model actuator(the ones with the air nipple right on the actuator) to test the pump and it operates the later mod actuator fine.
anyone know what i am missing here?
thanks
joe

Take a plastic wire tie and tie them open. The exhaust backpressure is what opens the 5&6 ports, so have you had any work done to it?

How exactly did you have yours setup? You need to have somewhere in your line going to the actuators a dump, to relieve the pressure. Did you essentially use hose parts? From what someone else told me, a two way brass valve sends air to the ports, and the other end dumps out the remaining air. I had a picture of the setup, but i lost it when i reformatted the computer.

Hey guys, I want to do the same thing with my 12a 6-port. Where exactly so the air tubes connect to operate the actuators? I have no inlets on my actuators because they somehow operated off of the back pressure from the exhaust.

Hey. I have this mod on my car and it works great.

my lumbar air pump puts out about 3.5 psi. my actuators open very quickly.

messure how much PSI the lumbar pump puts out.. maybe yours isnt putting out enough? Also make sure the hose you use to connect the lumbar air pump to the actuators is snug.. and not loose . maybe use a zip tie to really clamp the hose down onto the metal pipe(s4) or pipes(s5)......

Whats a lumbar pump? I'm looking to put the actuators back in and trying to figure out a way to activate the 5th and 6ports with the back pressure tube. I heard of the air pump mod. Anything else?

Thanks, Ed
