Fuel Level Sender

Need to know which wire is which for the power, ground, and level for the fuel level sender. I replaced my ghetto rigged 3 female disconnects with an actual 3 wire plug i kiped from the old radio connections. It seems the wires have gotten mixed up in the process and my guage is reading nothing. Thanks ~Gavin

How bout the online wiring diagrams? They ought to help you out. Also, you gotta state your year as these things do change from year to year.

Unfortunately that doesn't tell you which one does what! But if you have a Heynes, or know someone who does, you can find the info in Chapter 13 if you have 3 wires. Mine is with my car at the moment, so I can't really look it up for ya.

Black is ground.. Yellow goes to the guage and if you have a third wire (blue/yellow stripe, I think), it goes to the idiot light. If your guage isn't working, you are in good company.. I've checked everything with no luck.. One wiring diagram I have shows a voltage regulator somewhere in the instrument panel. Gotta find it next.. Good Luck
