4x110 to 114.3? *HELP*

I dont want to use adpters because then the offsets will be off and poke out to much. Is there any way to do so? Like swap from newer car?
I have a 82 gs.

Search around, tons of info regarding this.

You need to source front and rear suspension/brake hardware from a GSL-SE.

This will have bigger brakes (I think..), large dia front and rear bearings, limited slip diff, and of course 4x114.3 hub pattern.

There is an excellent web page that has a table that outlines the hardware compatibility vs model and year. I just cant remember where it is.

I am sure others will chime in.

I would not worry so much about the adapters. I have 1" adapters and the work great with 15x7 4x100 wheels with et40. 205-50-15 tires. They don't stick out at all. Swapping to GSL-SE hubs and rear are definitely do-able, but parts are not that easy to find and probably expensive. For the rear you need the whole rear end, because i don't think the axles will fit in the GSL or GS housing.

Both ways work though.

Carl,

What Adapters are you using? I have been looking into buying a set but the ones i see pop up are for ATV's and Recreational vehicles.

The axles will fit in the gs and gsl housings. You'll need the gslse brake calipers and brackets if using the axles.

Adaptitusa.com custom makes them in about 10 days. The come with studs and the elongated nuts that bolt the adapter to the hub. You will need 1" studs for the front hub and 1-1/4" for the rear (because the studs go through the brake rotor in the rear).

I think the GSL-SE axle is longer than the GSL and GS. But maybe I am wrong.

I bought 1" spacers from adaptitusa.com and my 17x7's fit very well. I'm running 205 in the front and 215 in the back.

GSL-SE axles will fit in the 83-85 big bearing GSL housing, but you need to run SE brake rotors, SE pads and an SE brake caliper as well - as mentioned above. 82transam is doing this in one of his FB's right now actually.

SE parts are getting extremely hard to source. I have a spare set of SE front struts that I won't be selling because I know how rare they are becoming. They'll get tucked away with the rest of the cool parts pile, which is something most of us crazy FB guys have I believe

Just order wheels that are 4x108, and use wobble nuts.

Mine is a pile of perfectly serviveable, clean '83 parts noone wants to buy, so they're gonna get scrapped. I can count on one hand the number of stock parts remaining in the car.

Anyone have a good reason not to use adapter plates? Aside from fitment/offset
