Nice compilation of info here! I would like to encourage others to try different venturi/ jet combos to see what suits their driving style. It's a lot of fun playing around with different combos and moving the power band around. For instance, the 36mm chokes give you more low end torque but can't flow enough when you get into the upper rpms. On the opposite side of things, run it without any choke tubes and it will nearly fall on its face in the lower rpms if you don't baby the throttle, but it will scream up top. Right, Wacky? ;-)

Thanks! I've got a bit more to add at some point, but hopefully whats here has helped some. I ended up playing with mine a bit and am actually running a bit different setup than when I started. LOL Of course now that I have mine dialed in, I'm upsizing to a Dellorto 48. Now I have to rejet all over for my wifes stock 12a, and learn another carb all together. Now I'm compiling Dellorto DHLA info, may have to start another thread on those. hehehehe I just like having all the info in a condensed spot.

Lol that's how it goes, you're never happy with mods for too long, before your thirst for power leads you to yet another one! Good luck with the project.

Hey I just got my 1980 rx7 and I ripped out the nikki and am putting in the 45 weber at the moment. I'm pretty much done but I have a couple lines that aren't capped/plugged in.
The return and vent fuel lines... i font have a charcoal canister (maybe cause mines an early rx7?) So i dont know what to plugs these into.
And these 2. I see other guys not having anything plugged in and some do. I want mine plugged in lol

12aholic this is what I have found on what to do with those lines.
In your your first picture the line closer to the fuel feed line is the fuel return line block it if you are not using a return line in your carb set up. The other line is a fuel tank vent line , leave that open loop it down with a short hose.
In your second picture the lower port is crank ventilation you can run that to your air cleaner box or intake with a store bought pcv or the check valve that was removed with rats nest.
The upper port on the the oil filter neck can get a breather element attached. Some run that upper port to the air cleaner.

Heres how I did it when I had a Dell. Cap the return line to keep crud out of it. Also cap it under
the car as well. Connect the vent line to the nipple at the base of the oil fill tube (on the iron).
Connect a hose with a PVC valve in it from the upper nipple on the oil fill tube to manifold
vacuum.
This will help keep the fuel smell down and also prevent lung butter from collecting due to
moisture in the oil fill tube and making it get all rusty. Just using a breather won't cut it.

12aholic, in that case you will need to put a tee in at where the vacuum take off is
and the line for the brake booster. Then you can plumb it the way I described. In fact
thats what I had done, maybe a pic would help out:
