Hmm.

They sell and rent those at most auto parts chain stores. I've rented them (for axle nuts) at Checkers, and AutoZone. They even come in a nice 4 size set, if you don't have exact fitment yet.

They were 1/2" drive too.

its fer the steering box adjustment. i looked everywhere in texas and louisiana, no place had em. snap on, sears, vato zone, o'reilys, etc etc

That's the big 'ol nut you need to remove to adjust your steering freeplay. Without the socket you'll have chisel that sucker loose!

flywheel nut is 1 1/8" (54mm to be exact)

wow i dont know how it is down is La, up here is Wa you can find anything at a sears and if they dont have it you can usally order it and it will be there lickity split. but is there a reason you need the socket and not just use a regular wrench like my dumbass self

I bought a socket set from sears that had the SAE one in it and it worked...
