Not a bolt on. I would keep the S5. Is your S5 a turbo?

The only big difference is the looks.....and if your willing to do the work just for a better looking intake....well then OK.

The FD unit might flow better, but TII guys have never had much trouble making big HP with their stock manifolds.Seems pointless to do the mod simply in an attempt to make more power.
Want more power?,keep the TII manifold and turn up the boost,or install a bigger turbo,or port,or whatever....

You need an adapter plate in order to make it work, and then the adapter plate needs to be port matched to both of the manifolds. Like others have said its mainily for looks, but I am doing this mod do to the fact that you can access the fuel injectors under the intake manifold where as with a S5 UIM space is tight.

On a semi-related question, I have an old 4-port Jay-Tech intake for a Holley. I have mounted it on an S4 NA and TII, a GSL-SE and an old 4-port 13B with 12A irons. The secondary ports on the intake sit above the top of the irons, exposing up to 1/2" of the top of the intake port to open air. Can you say vacuum leak? lol

Do the REW or Cosmo secondary ports in the irons sit higher in relation to the others mentioned?

The reason I'm asking this question is I assumed the REW secondary ports are higher than the others and that is the basis for my 1st post in this thread. If they don't sit higher, ignore my 1st post and please accept my apologies.

If anyone has any idea what this intake really does fit, please let me know. I can post pics if needed. I have no engine here that the intake will fit and it needs to find a home with someone who can use it.

Gonzz, very clean install. I can see why you have been working so hard on it. Top notch job.

Sorry for the sem-thread jack, we now resume our regularly scheduled programming.

I believe you will find that it fits the older style 13b irons, like the REPU, it had taller ports than the normal 13b, and of course the 12a.

that being said the 13bre cosmo engine has very large ports also....It might fit those as a result.

What I find odd is that the question is about taking a 3rd Gen part and putting it on a 2nd Gen engine...

Why is this in the first gen section? I'm amazed there's as much info here as there is, though you'd probably get better info in the 2nd gen section.

well i guess if i doent make that much of a difference, i'll just stick with the jdm s5 t2 manifold and throttle body. thaught that the bigger tb on the rew motor would have made a difference. thanks guys for the input. oh by the way us fb owners wake stuff from all types of cars work.

Does the S5 TII UIM flow better than the S5 NA?
