trust me, youll get MUCH more enjoyment out of a nicely tund suspension than anything else. then worry about the engine.

Rb SP full exhaust is a good way to go. I have it on my car, and it's wonderful. That alone improved the response of the engine dramatically. You already have the suspension taken care of, so I'd suggest doing bushings or drop the $1k for the ReSpeed R&P kit and get rid of "wonder steer" and having to worry about your worn out front end all in one replacement.

Suspension. Nothing matters more than that (braking is a close 2nd). Who cares about 0-60, when 60-0 is more important?

Your carb is too big. It's just too friggin big!
Get an appropriate sized carburetor, and look into the Atkins Camden supercharger setup. Carl & I met with Dan (Sr.) at Sevenstock and he whipped out some dyno sheets with some pretty impressive numbers for a stockport 12a, and some very nice ones for a street port.

Yeah, I know the carb is huge... It came already on the car. I think I will try to tune it, just to hold me over until I actually start working on the engine setup. There is an old thread on here where the guy tuned a Carter 625cfm on his 12a, that's basically the same carb.

Why spend any money on a engine your not keeping. Carbs suck get fuel injected on your next engine. Buy the rack and pinion. Best money I've spent on my car so far.

fuel injection is the best.....

for me to poop on.

seriously, no need to go to FI, you'd be happy as a pig in **** if you got a proper carb (read: sterling), and a nice suspension set up.

I think Rob from RotaryShack might disagree with you there. What's he at now, 720RWHP on a carb'd engine?
