Question 2nd gen spoiler on 1st gen?

I went looking around the wrecker today to see if there was a 1st gen with a rear spoiler. To no avail..... There was tho a 2nd generation factory spoiler. I am thinking of trying to make it work.... Has anyone done this before, or seen it? how does it look?

you can make it work i'm sure. if anything, you may just have to cut some out of the center area and fab it back together. then just start test fitting. take a pic.

Probably similar to the Mazdatrix GTU spoiler, only less well fitting.

Yep, it looks like the GTU spoiler, and yes it probably will fit much worse.... But I will only be paying 20 bux Canadian, which is like 15 bux US.... pretty cheap...

i did it i did it... We just put a S4 turboII wing on my buddy's car today. It only took like 30 minutes, real simple. I'm doing mine tommarrow, it almost looks like it belongs on the car stock. It sits at a good angle and doesn't block the hatch. I will post some pix tommarrow

When I was stationed down in NC there was a shop with several 1st gens sitting out front (the shop was in hampstead). one of the 1st gens had a FC spoiler on the back and it looked really nice like it came from the factory.

A friend of mine has installed a stock FC rear spoiler on his FB. It was made to fit, some material was shaved off and the antenna hole was filled in, since the rear of the 1st gen is at an angle whereas the 2nd gen is flat.
Mark Ps wing is not a factory piece but a Kanimari for a 2nd gen glassed onto his 1st gen.

Thats the only real concern I have is the slope on the back of our cars, and the lack of one on the 2nd gen...but I am sure it can be done...

Yeah, thats right. it's not from a TII, it has one piller in the center and the sides are longer. 3/4 towards the roof line, from there i molded-in the sides with the roof line. the whole thing wraps around the whole back end of the car. looking at the car from the side it makes a flat line and the rear hatch window 'sinks' below
the spoilers flat lines. the sides, to make it look a bit better are molded-in so it doesn't have that 'bolted-on' look. the lower part of sides, the lower line disappears into the fender all there is ,is just one flat line.. it looks okay, and it can be done.
